Welcoming Our New Program Intern: Dallin Peterson
Ripple Industries is excited to welcome Dallin Peterson as our newest Program Intern, where he’s already contributing to real-world automation projects across HMIs and PLCs. Dallin’s role reflects Ripple’s commitment to hands-on learning, technical growth, and developing the next generation of automation professionals.
Dallin’s current responsibilities focus on diagnosing system errors and writing code for HMIs and PLCs, with his most recent project centered on identifying and resolving issues on an IDEC computer system. While new to the industry, Dallin has stepped into this challenge and is currently a part of the primary team handling this task at Ripple Industries.
This level of ownership has allowed Dallin to sharpen his problem-solving skills and gain confidence tackling complex technical issues.
From Learning to Applying
Over the past year, Dallin has been studying ladder logic, and his internship at Ripple marks his first opportunity to apply that knowledge in a professional automation environment. The transition has brought both rewarding breakthroughs and challenging moments, reinforcing the persistence and critical thinking required in industrial programming.
This hands-on exposure is a key part of Ripple Industries’ approach to mentorship: giving team members meaningful responsibility while supporting their growth through real projects.
A Clear Path Forward in Industrial Automation
Dallin’s long-term goal is to continue growing into a full-fledged engineer and programmer in industrial automation, driven by a genuine passion for the technical side of the work.
As Dallin shared:
“My objective is to gain as much experience and knowledge as I can so that I can eventually become a full-fledged engineer and programmer in industrial automation. I love the technical aspect of this work, and plan to continue progressing in this industry.”
