In an interview on the CSIA podcast, Jeromy Peterson, founder of Ripple Industries, shared insights into his career path, the company’s growth, and the unique challenges and opportunities within the control system integration industry.
Peterson’s career began unexpectedly at a sewage plant in Apache Junction, Arizona, where he took on his first job after returning from a two-year stay abroad. His interest in control systems was sparked by an old Square D SY/MAX system being upgraded at the plant. This experience led him to realize the potential of a career in control system integration, eventually leading him to establish Ripple Industries.
Peterson also discussed Ripple Industries’ commitment to taking on unique and challenging projects, such as an irrigation district job that required integrating web-based water orders with control valves in the field. He praised his team’s ability to work collaboratively and respectfully, even when following up on projects started by others.
Reflecting on Ripple Industries’ growth, Peterson noted a 75% increase in revenue over the past year, driven by the company’s dedication to customer relationships and its strategic focus on maintenance services. Looking ahead, Peterson anticipates continued growth by building a strong customer base and maintaining the company’s reputation for reliability and innovation.
